The book provides a comprehensive coverage of conjugated polymer-based nanocomposite coatings with advanced anticorrosive properties. The book gives a detailed explanation of corrosion testing methods and techniques to evaluate the corrosion resistance of coatings. It includes an elaborate discussion on corrosion classification, electrochemistry of the corrosion process, theories explaining the corrosion mechanism, and various corrosion testing standards. Electrochemical studies such as open circuit potential (OCP) variation with time, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and accelerated corrosion testing are highlighted as important tools to extract information about the behavior of coatings under corrosive conditions.
