Climate Change contributed to the disturbance the balance of ecosystems including in arid regions, where the distribution precipitation already poses problems. Agro ecosystems oasis today, moving towards the development monovarietal the date palm, about 50% of the portfolio is intended to monoculture (Deglet Nour) high commercial value markets national and international. By cons, other varieties (or cultivars) called common or low-value excluded and have no power to preserve and enhance, therefore be exposed risk of extinction due a range of stresses, between addition, genetic erosion; caused by the force of the market, imposing varieties of quality or excellence, is the most important factor this erosion. However, this study aims to assess status and structure range of varietal of the Date Palm in the palm Ziban the east, if the region of Sidi Okba through an analysis this biodiversity.It is based a varietal inventory and an estimate quantitative and qualitative frequencies plenty of cultivars the Date Palm, conducted a site by site or locality by locality of the surveyed area,this one hand. On the other hand, we discussed through an ethnobotanical survey;mode management this genetic diversity and the problem their conservation.We found based on the results obtained, a significant diversity and richness varieties (cultivars 112) of the Date Palm in the palm Sidi Okba, but remains endangered (Genetic erosion). In addition, the use of indicators is ethnobotany, not only evaluation means the degree of erosion of this diversity, but also to follow the problem Conservation. This genetic diversity prospected in the palm. |
